Protecting content on your membership site

After you get the basic configuration up and running for your membership website, the next step is to start publishing content. But you want to make sure that you protect your valuable premium content while providing the search engines with all of the keyword rich content that they want.

It turns out this is one of the easiest parts of building a membership website. In this video you’ll see exactly how to publish content so that some of it is protected and some is visible to the search engines and other visitors to your site.

Remember that for every bit of content, the free or teaser portion is really a sales letter. It should be compelling and engaging so that whoever reads it will want to pay for access to the rest of the post. If you pay close attention at about 0:43 in this video you’ll see what I’m talking about.

When I right click on the .pdf, it is just re-opening the same page and not giving the pdf download. Maybe its just me … but if not, you can correct it and I’ll download it later.
