Customizing WordPress Menus

by Daniel on August 18, 2010

After the initial configuration of the MemberWing and WordPress, one unwanted artifact that results is that the administrative pages needed for purchases are visible.

That means that the Thank You and Cancel pages can be seen in the navigation and they also show up in the search results for your website. Since these pages don’t make any sense except as part of the buying process, we want to conceal these pages from view until we actually send someone there.

This training shows you the following two things:

  1. Create a custom menu for your website
  2. Remove pages from the search results on your site

I think you’ll be surprised how easy it is once you have the right plugin.

The .pdf download isn’t working on this page.

Hey bryan,

This one got missed, but it’s in the works. I’ll notify everyone when I fill in the gaps.

Daniel,

I do not want to block all pages from searches. Just a few of them.
Do you have a solution for that?

thank you

Hi Mark,

I don’t know of a plugin that does that. I might actually contribute back to the one I suggest in order to accommodate that at some point. If I do, I’ll send out an email.

Daniel
